And here it is, finished version of the previously uploaded WIP. I am amazed I didn't lose my patience with this, it's so different from everything else in my gallery. But I wanted to throw a bit of the other things I'm capable of doing up on dA. When I learn new techniques I can go pretty far, and that's why I'm always on the lookout for new tricks, but a lot of artists don't like to share what they know. ._.
I'll let you in on a little secret: I've always wished I was a painter, not a cartoon artist.
Anyway, this is Ragnor, a "shadow wolf" from my future webcomic. Ragnor is a vicious bastard, seriously. He, along with the other shadow wolves, work constantly to create chaos in the world and influence mortals to walk in the wrong directions. They are controlled by the Serpent who is the lord of all things dark and evil. Shadow wolves are also a main cause of mankind fearing the wolf, which was intentional. Also, in the comic, it is supposed that the shadow wolves are behind the "black dog" legends in the UK. They were also behind the wiping out of all wolves in that region of the world. They cannot normally be seen but will appear to anyone they wish to. The average shadow wolf is playful in the worst kind of way, taking delight in the pain of others. Shadow wolves have been in existence since before civilization, after the dark influence and burning whispers of the Serpent corrupted many wolves, turning them into malicious, depraved beings. All other wolves that were not corrupted went two ways: stayed with mankind (later became dogs) or distanced themselves from mankind, yet share a same outcome: they completely forgot their purpose and lost the power they were given. Only a wolf aware of their existence can detect the presence of a shadow wolf. Shadow wolves are most active in the darkness of night and operate in the shadows of the day. The Phoenix cannot traverse the darkness of night, but needs to combat the shadow wolf advances.... therefore Kazera comes into play.
Oi, I just spoiled some of the surprises! Oh well. Enjoy this piece.
Wow this is amazing. The eyes take my soul O_O Does his name have any references to Ragnarok? The Norse version of the end of the world? I'm just curious to know.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
