Artist's Comments SOLVE ET COAGULA BY MUDVAYNE (Means "separate to join together") [link] Fire! I dissolve and solidify. Destroy to recreate, Disassemble to assemble something pure. Our rubic solve et coagula. Kill to be born again, cycled a thousand times. Fire, planetary alchemy! Fire, the time is here now! Fire, four corners to rise! Fire rise! Fire, there’s always loss within! Fire, the cleansing it’s time! Fire, shooting arrows to the sky! Fire! I construct a new institution. Not out of bricks, iron, cement, concrete, Or steel. Our rubic solve et coagula. Distill to purify, We’ve done it a thousand times. I had this sitting on my hard drive for quite some time, and somehow forgot about it... it was nearly finished and I put it aside then completely forgot about it's existence 'till tonight when I accidentally found it again.  It only took about 15 minutes to put the finishing touches on so it was no big time loss. XDAlso made a new avatar outta Kaz's face in this one. Whee.  So yeah. The wings are supposed to be that bright, I dunno how many of you are familiar with the Phoenix mythology but it's usually said that the Phoenix's feathers are always glowing like fire, and I've consistently aimed to keep my version of the Phoenix true to the old legends. And if you're not familiar with Kazera, the Phoenix uses her as a vessel. Yup. It's a lot more complex than that but I don't feel like getting into it... wait for the comic.
